Does SAMHD1 approximate FIBONACCI numbers, or LUCAS numbers?
Does SAMHD1 Approximate Fibonacci, and Lucas Numbers?
The human protein SAMHD1 is composed of 626 amino acids (according to UniProt: Q9Y3Z3 · SAMH1_HUMAN). Interestingly, 610 is the 15th Fibonacci number, and this is very close to the length of SAMHD1. The relative difference is only about 2.6%, meaning SAMHD1 approximates the 15th Fibonacci number to approximately 97.4% accuracy.
This numerical proximity between a key biological molecule and a well-known mathematical sequence may offer an interesting basis for further discussion and exploration.
Sincerely,
Stefan Geier, Haidholzen
